Brazilian Wax + Sugar FAQs I Roswell GA:
How long should my hair be before my brazilian appointment?
About ¼ inch long, or roughly the length of a grain of rice. If you’ve been shaving, try to stop at least 2–3 weeks before your appointment so there’s enough growth to remove.
Does a Brazilian wax or sugar hurt?
We’re pulling hair from the root, so you’ll definitely feel it - but it’s usually not nearly as bad as people expect! We focus on making your appointment as quick & comfortable as possible, and it gets SO much easier when you stay consistent.
What’s the difference between Brazilian waxing and sugaring?
Both remove hair from the root, but they use totally different products & techniques. Sugaring uses a sugar paste and removes the hair in the direction it grows, while waxing uses wax to remove the hair. Both give smooth, long lasting results- it really comes down to your skin, hair & personal preference!
Can I shave between appointments?
Pleaseeee don’t! Shaving cuts the hair at the surface instead of removing it from the root. It can throw your hairs into different growth cycles, which can make your next brazilian feel spicier and make it harder to get consistently smooth results.
How often should I get a Brazilian?
Usually every 4–6 weeks. Staying consistent helps get your hair onto a similar growth cycle, and clients notice the hair becomes easier to remove over time.
Can I get a Brazilian on my period?
Yep! Just wear a fresh tampon or menstrual cup to your appointment. Tampons are provided in studio if needed! You may be a little more sensitive around your cycle, but you absolutely can still get waxed or sugared.
What should I do before my appointment?
Come with clean, dry skin and avoid heavy lotions or oils that day. Gently exfoliating a day or two beforehand can help, but skip aggressive exfoliation right before your appointment.
What should I avoid after my Brazilian?
For the first 24 hours, give the area a little break. Avoid heavy sweating, hot tubs, pools, excessive heat, friction, sex and exfoliation. We’ll go over aftercare with you too!
Is Brazilian sugaring better for sensitive skin?
It can be! Sugar paste adheres differently than traditional wax and is often a favorite for clients with sensitive or reactive skin. Chelsea especially loves brazilian sugaring and can help you decide which option makes the most sense for your skin.
First Brazilian and nervous?
Totally normal! Our biggest focus is making you feel as comfortable as possible. We’ll keep you talking & distracted the whole time, and Sugar Bloom is a completely judgment free space. 💗
